hey people... i am back from Vietnam... i was suppose to blog about Vietnam yesterday... but i was super tired so ya... didn't... haha... okok... back to Vietnam... i will say it day by day...

DAY 1

nothing happened... because reached Vietnam at about 2pm(Vietnam timing) then we took the bus all the way to a church to learn a little about Vietnam... the church was very nice... and it was like in the middle of the city... then we went to a post office next to it... it was a old post office... it tells us how to Vietnam people post there things... it was kinda like a normal post office.. so nothing much... then when we were about to go back to our bus to go get paint... there was this girl who was begging us to buy bubble gum and flowers... she was very kelian(poor thing)... but we were told not to buy it from her... but Nazir still bought it from her... but no one knew until we went on the bus... haha... after buying paint... it was about 5plus and it was COMPLETELY dark... it was like Singapore's 8pm... and it was only 5plus... so we went for dinner... the food was not that nice compared to Singapore's food... but i learn to adapt... then went to the hotel... this is were we had a VERY BIG shock... when people say hotel... you will think lobby, lights, painting, nice beds, bath tub, air-cons and many many more... this hotel is totally different... there were only beds, shower, air-con and fan... ya and TV which was all in Vietnamese... but it was very different...

DAY2

Day2... woke up early... ate breakfast... it was nice... we had like soup... with noodles la... erm... tasted like fish ball noodles with no fish ball... haha... then went to the bus after breakfast... went to the orphanage... it took us about 2and a half hours to reach the orphanage... so was looking at Vietnam... they have one thing Singapore don't have... HEAVY TRAFFIC! OMG! there traffic there are super chaotic... because,there is like no traffic lights... then there were like so many bikes that it is more than Singapore's population! so many right... and when for example... the bus wants to turn right... he would have to just cut into the traffic to get there... super dangerous! and no one will give way until the bus cuts into them... super different compared to Singapore... when we reached the orphanage, we saw a couple of small boys and girls... there were all very happy to see us there... so are we... haha... then when Uncle nick(our translator) was talking to the head of the orphanage, i knew something was wrong... then we were told to interact with the children there... so we did as told... we played ball games with them... they were all so cute when they played the games... as we were playing, BAD NEWS number 1 came... Mr Leslie told us, we couldn't paint and we couldn't teach them English... was why we were there... like OMG... so we had to leave... but before leaving the nun asked us to stay for lunch which was ready... so we stayed... the food was vegetarian... but it was nice... after having lunch we went back on the bus... and GOOD NEWS number 1 came to us... haha... we found a new orphanage to go to... we were all very happy... but we had today and tomorrow to do our tour in Vietnam... so almost everything was moved up... after that we went to CUCHI tunnel... Zhenwei not GUCCI tunnel... haha... he made this joke on this bus... and EVERYONE laughed at him...very lame can... the cuchi tunnel was a tunnel that helped Vietnam fight against the Americans... then we had to walk a SMALL round in the tunnel... due to the fact it was small... we had to duck walk the whole way...haha ... was fun... but half way when some of us couldn't take it we could take an exit out... so... i was one of the last one... so, i carried on because it was fun... then by the time we came out... only... Emily, Derrick, Elroy,Nazir, Zhenwei, SokHong, Jacqueline and myself that completed the whole thing... andd we are from the same group! while the other group all of them gave up... ya some of my group members gave up... but ya... you get wad i mean... haha... then after that we went to have dinner... dinner was EVERYDAY nice... just that the taste was different from Singapore's food thats all... then we went to the supermarket to get things for ourselves... haha... had so much fun there... because everything was super cheap... so we bought alot of sweets and potato chips... haha... then went back to hotel... SLEEP...

DAY3

day3... we went for breakfast... same place... haha... then we went to change the paint colour due to the fact that we changed orhanage they wanted another colour... so we changed them... and we went to buy the pole for the paint to reach places we couldn't reach... so by the time we did everything it was already noon... so we went to have lunch... and again it was good... like always... went to the new orphanage... when we got there... we were told... we were able to do everything we wanted to do... like OMG... so happy... haha... my group was teaching English... my group have, Elroy(leader),SokHong(assitant-leader), ME, Jacqueline, Nazir, Zhenwei, Emily, Rouhui, Shahidah, Jorine and Derrick... so we went to teach the children... ya... when we gathered everyone, we started teaching them, and i saw one boy sitting outside, i went over to TRY talking to him... then when i touched him, he was burning HOT! and i knew he had a fever... so i carried him to find our teacher... i and took cared of him for about 30mins when the mother took cared of him... so when i joined back the group there were in groups teaching the children... so i took one... his name was YONG! then...after a fewmins, they started jumping here and there..and we were catching them back... when i think ZHENWEI who carried one boy up... and the other children saw... and they wanted us to carry them too... THANKS ZHENWEI! then we carried them till we had backache!!! so pain... and i was carrying Yong, there was this boy named KHE !!! then he was Yong's good friend... then he want me to carry him to... so i was like carrying like 2boys... but they were cute..haha.... when it was 4pm... we had to stop... and go back... haha... after that we went to have dinner and back to the hotel... haha...

DAY4

day4... went to have breakfast... once we were done eating, miss ming told us we were changing hotel... so we took all of our luggage and went to meet outside the hotel... and we went to the new hotel! then i thought it would be better.. from a 1star hotel... we went to a 3stars hotel.. not bad already... checked in... we were told to swap the things that we were doing... like painting go do teaching and vice versa... so my group did painting in the morning... haha... i was cleaning the fans instead of painting... was happy... then me, Nazir and Elroy managed to clean 1fan when they told us to stop because the children are about to have their lunch we were like WAD!!!haha.... but nevermind... we went to heop the rest who were painting... ya... then when we met them, i had nothing to do.. so... i just stand there do nothing.... soon later we had lunch... it wad nice... then after lunch... my group went back to do teaching... and it turned out good because we didn't carry anyone... then... we started off withlondon bridge... then after that... we gave them paper to do.. like ABC or 123... there were dotted lines la... and i was SO happy when...KHE and YONG came to me... so i took out my handphone and took lots of picture... then Khe wanted to take my phone to take picture... so i gave it to him... he took lots of picture! he is very cute... then at 4pm again... we had to stop... so we went for dinner... then back to hotel... haha...

DAY5

day5... we didn't go back to the orphanage so we went for a tour... haha... went to the war museum... i didn't have any interest... so ya... but it was very kelan cause the Americans just killed innocent children... so sad... then went for lunch... then went to shopping! till 430pm... ya... then went to have dinner... and back to hotel...

DAY6

day6... today was the last day with the children at the orphanage... SAD! like wednesday, my group did painting then teaching... and i painted one whole door on my own... was happy... then after that went to have lunch then go teach the children! starting it was a bit funny because wad we plan to do they didn't follow so went to get paper for them to write on... and they settled down once the paper came... then same... Khe and Yong came to me! then we did the paper... took pictures again... Khe took my phone and took picture again...ya... then when it was 4pm... we had to get ready for our exchange... so my group went to get ready.... change to wda we needed to wear... and got ready... when the time came... we did out performances and everything... then the orhanage did their performance... which was cool... haha... then we were told that we had a amount of time to go give our things to the children... so i went to Khe and Yong and i gave them the thing i wanted to give them... and asked for a kiss... they kissed me... and i almost cried... well... after that went back to hotel... but went to eat before that... and back to hotel... some of us had a party... namely... ME, JAC, SOKHONG, ZHENWEI, NAZIR, JORINE and EMILY! me sok and emily didn't sleep until 5am... haha...

DAY7

day7... went to airport and home... thats all...
